Three Hooks is an electronica album willing to grab what can be grabbed with a ready trio of question marks: How can I twist these samples beyond recognition? What tensions and hungers are in the air and where can we find what resolution can still be had? How can the new sounds give answers as the first two questions echo back to us?
There are large fragments and even unbroken lengths of celebration and ecstasy here: there are the most troubling shades of our darkest evenings, the darkest clouds we see against the noon sun here. Things are stretched beyond silly-putty surrealism, but we have the eyes to see the new faces and truths that emerge—or maybe here are ten soundscapes that can help you let go—and invite you to take what you find into your hands again, anew---here is an earnest endeavor to explore everything that is grabbed on hooks, everything that make us ask just what it is we are seeing—an effort to look at everything that had gone darker than it was and an equally strong insistence on seeing the light, clarity and colors that we still have—we call it song and we offer it to the collective listening.

Benjamin Norman Pierce Madison, Wisconsin

Born in Denver, Colorado in 1962, moved to Wausau, Wisconsin on his 2nd birthday. At St Cloud-UMn, majored in Philosophy, History, and English. In 1989, moved to Madison, Wisconsin, studied Hermetic magick and lived in Co-op houses. In 1994-96 lived in Sophia, Bulgaria and began to paint.
